MORNING MESSAGE
March 19, 2021

by Gayle Gordon

"The Lord their God will save them in that day, As the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, Lifted like a banner over His land— " (Zechariah 9:16)

"How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7)

God is in the city-changing business. We will emerge from this tough time, in our city, and God will revive it through His children; you are being taught and grown to be vessels through which God will pour out mercy and love to all who desire to receive Him. His angels are bringing peace to you today. He is enabling you to carry peace to those who are troubled.

"Behold, I will bring it health and healing;
I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.
Then it [our city] shall be to Me a name of joy,
a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them;
they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it." (Jeremiah 33:6-9)

God is working here;
"Will You not revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?
Show us Your mercy, Lord,
And grant us Your salvation.
I will hear what God the Lord will speak,
For He will speak peace to His people and to His saints;
But let them not turn back to folly.
Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
That glory may dwell in our land. (Psalm 85:6-9)

It's important that we draw closer to Him and stay there. We will be used mightily by God if we stay close to Him in a state of worship and praise. Our Lord will use what we're going through now to bring about change. He sees the struggles, and they have no power to do damage to His plan. He is sending His revival and restoration and healing.
"And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake.
For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

God works through that one factor that does not disappear: our struggles. They don't intimidate or deter Almighty God; our Father will triumph. He will do exactly what He says He will do. He is doing something wonderful for our city through His Holy Spirit, and we are invited to be a part of it all.
"And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord;
And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken." (Isaiah 62:12)

I pray that the Holy Spirit causes our city and our nation to reverse the course of this current culture and renew respect for the precepts in the Ten Commandments, and that we see revival and restoration of the people to God through His Son. I believe it's beginning now. It's beginning among those who seek the Lord and His Kingdom with all their hearts and minds and strength. May God strengthen and encourage us. Believe and praise Him for revival!
