MORNING MESSAGE
March 12, 2021
by Gayle Gordon
"...Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth— Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
Isaiah 43:6b-7
We were created to bring glory to our Father Who created us. He formed us in His image in perfect love and took great delight in giving us life.
“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.
I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior.
I have declared and saved,
I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you;
Therefore you are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “that I am God.
Isaiah 43:10-12
Our Father has clearly defined and explained His nature, intentions and activities to mankind since Adam was formed by His hand.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11-13
Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters;
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
This people I have formed for Myself;
They shall declare My praise."
Isaiah 43:16,18-19,21
We often think of external troubles as our personal "wilderness" experiences. That's true, but how we react to them is an inner decision of the heart and mind. Our own will can lead us into a desolate place unless Jesus is Lord.
We have work to do every day in deciding within our hearts and minds to make Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Lord as well. The outer pressures are, largely, nothing we can do anything about; our inner responses are under our control. We can rejoice in and praise Jesus Christ our Savior; we also need to let Him inside to become our Lord.
"And Jesus added, “The Son of Man is Lord, even over the Sabbath.” Luke 6:5
Jesus is Lord everywhere God the Father is Lord; He holds the power and authority of God. That includes our hearts and minds and our will and desires.
There is a special place in His heart, by the way, for those of us who have problems with authority; be at peace in Him. He knows all about how authority was wielded over you in perhaps a destructive way; you are not alone. He speaks to you and me:
"Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Matthew 11:29-30 NLT
“So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” [of my life]
Acts 2:36 NLT
Allow Him to be both Savior and Lord in your walk. Listen for His voice in your thoughts and do what He says. If you need help to do it, ask Him for help; He will give it. He already has!
