Daily Morning Message 3/23/2021

MORNING MESSAGE

Psalm 106:15 refers to God responding to the demands of a rebellious Israel:
"And He gave them their request,
But sent leanness into their soul."

Psalm 107:9 refers to God responding to the faith, gratitude and obedience of His people to His Holy Spirit:
"For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness."

He sends what we need to create faith and dependence on Him. God never manipulates; He teaches, He saves, He rescues, heals and strengthens.

In the Psalms, we have wonderful springboard topics to meditate on, in our alone time with our Father.
"They found no city to dwell in." Psalm 107:4
"And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place."
Psalm 107:7
Have you ever been homeless? Are you potentially facing that? Give God praise; He knows your need and will lead you to the solution.

"Those who sat in darkness...because they rebelled against the words of God...fell down. (Psalm 107:10-12)
"...And He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces." Psalm 107:13-14
Have you struggled to be free of a dark and painful past? Praise your God: you are not only completely forgiven, you are thoroughly cleansed and you past and all it's chains of after-effect and bad influence are broken.

"Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. ...And they drew near to the gates of death. Psalm 107:17-18
"He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Have you ever been frustrated and depressed with yourself to the point of just giving in? Worship and abide in your Savior; He has specific healing for you.

He's brought you to this very point for a reason; to obtain your salvation and healing, your peace and your provision through God. Those things are not available by any other means, securely. The world offers them in counterfeit. The world offers Easter bunnies and Santa Claus. Fine for a five year old child, for about half an hour. Not going to work for you, child of the Most High God. You're serving your internship right now, in becoming His Priest and King and Queen. His Bride must walk in strength and wisdom; in purity and holiness.

And - that includes getting the house cleaned up, doing the laundry and getting some food. All those very un-spectacular things we do can become lighter burdens, in Him. Drudgery becomes work well done. God had to come to Israel's rescue constantly. He loved us so much that when we turned our backs and stomped our foot, He dealt with us like a loving Father would. He brought us back to Himself. He will continue to do so until we learn to stop wandering and drifting into our will and ways. His patience and lovingkindness is amazing.

"Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.
He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven.

Psalm 107:21-22,29-31
